  I admit I am a Foodie, but I am no snob. Cheap early morning breakfast, or late-night feasting, there is no place that can deliver like the Waffle House. Pecan Waffle and hashbrowns 6 ways (the best: scattered, covered, smothered, and chunked). You know when you need to go here.

  After we walked in we were told to have
  a seat and someone would be right
  with us. It did take awhile for someone
  to take our drink and food orders. ~~~~
  
  BACON - EGG & CHEESE SANDWICH
  
  (I OPTED OUT OF THE BACON) ~~~~~
  
  The ratios of the cheese and egg
  were delightful and tasted great.
  I'd get a little egg here and there
  with a light crisp from the bread.
  The egg was was soft. The
  white part of the egg was soft and
  smooth and was seasoned well.
  I like the little burst of flavor from
  the fresh egg. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  
  There was a filled condiment
  section that was sitting there
  that had salt, pepper and hot
  sauces which is nice
  because then you can control
  the heat you want. ETC ~~~~~
  
  (MY GRANDPA WOULD PUT TABASCO
  SAUCE ON HIS EGGS) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  
  The thing I wish could've been better
  was the bread. It was a little
  a little dry because it was toasted too
  much and there wasn't enough butter
  on the bread. It wasn't too
  much of a char to have a burnt taste.
  
  (THE SIDE) HASHBROWNS ~~~
  
  The hash browns were perfect
  and weren't too crunchy which
  I like mine to be a little on the
  soft side. These were delicious
  and I had a generous portion.
  
  THE CHECK OUT ~~~~~~~~~~~~
  
  We asked for the check when we
  finished and walked up to the
  register to take care of our check.
  It took awhile to check out. Plus
  we were waiting for a bit for some
  acknowledgment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

  Waited 10-15 minutes and could not even get a drink order. Place was about half full. Staff of 3 completely oblivious. One was cooking. One was standing watching the cook. Both looked right at me but completely blank stares.  The third was preoccupied with something on opposite side of diner which looked like a disorganized take order for one person.
  At the 14 minute mark 2 new people walked in. Staff person #3 who may have been the waitress went right over 2 minutes later and took their order.   Wife and I looked at each other and said that's it.  One star is too generous for this staff.
  
  If there is more then 2-4 people just turn around and leave and save yourself the aggravation.

  It's waffle house. I like their chicken sandwich and love their pancakes. If you like breakfast, this is one of the greats.

  It's Waffle House. I don't come in with great expectations. However we were the only ones there except maybe five other people at the bar and a booth. If I tipped my waitress a dollar for every time she came to fill my coffee it would have been $2. When we got our food, she went out to smoke and we sat waiting on refills. She was in the parking lot smoking cigarettes. Not too big a deal. I anticipated this and ordered a water with my coffee for this very reason. The food was hot and good. Split a waffle with the Mrs. I have to say the tables were clean when we got there.
